Startup Adventures: What Do We Offer to User?

 Unknown     6/22/2016     No comments

Let's have a look on application we are working on for one year. None of proposed below projects received it's feedback, so you are welcome to share with us any thoughts.

1. Access Control (Multibiometric unit)
The very first our idea was to protect private area and to increase security level. As you know any kind of human's biometric data has it's own pros and cons, so we've decided to combine them and create small mobile multibiometric unit that can be used anywhere. More information about how it works you can found on our youtube channel (coming soon).

2. Facial search engine
Imagine, that you have huge video or folder with big number of photos. Wouldn't it be great to search any person without looking for all amount of data.
You can search as many people as you want. Just upload person's photo.

3. Facial behaviour analysis
Once we were thinking about possible application that could help find out how attractive video is. Have a look to this demo.

It is awesome, you can get all charts which describe people's behaviour while watching ane video.
Disadvantages that we found in previous example:
 - age estimation, gender detection not automatic (you should pick this information by yourself)

 - no link to concrete person (anyone can watch any video as many times as he wants)
 - no link to social networks (possibility of sharing impressions about any content)
 - no solution to implement previous software to website, blog (only through API)

How we propose to fix previous disadvantages:
- age/gender/ethnithity estimation. Take a look on facial recognition service response to photo from instagram of Wladimir Klitschko which was taken 4 weeks ago.
We've got the next information : age - 37(40), gender - Male, ethnithity - White. So we have 3 years difference in age, which is normal for image with such lightening conditions.

- We propose to create person profile. How? Gather photos from all social networks (if user allows our program to process it) and create unique person identification record that will be used instead login and password. Then during any interaction with web camera our software can easily identify person who is wathcing video. Why we need this? First reaction on video is more important that the other one.

 - Also we want to prepare interactive element for websites to receive user's impression feedback on any website features.

For example you found scary movie, and before watching it you already know that your friends watched it without any fear in behaviour. So you can keep looking for more scary movie. The same principle is applyable for any kind of expression and movies.

Let change the following rate system
- to real one:

Subscribe to our youtube channel where we are going to show features of our product and how it works.

Startup Adventures: #1 TODO

 Unknown     6/21/2016     No comments

Next week we are going to meet our customer and give him a little presentation of our software.
The key points that we want to show in our product are:

  - non-possibility to trick camera with photo and video (only live person tracking)
  - possibility to use our library througth API as web-application.

Here you can have a look on some functionality we've done till today.

1. Live person tracking.
For this purpose we decided to use Intel Realsense . It is great camera and very easy in use. Also there are a lot of samples, demos on how to use it, even with OpenCV.
Combining both RGB and Depth data we want to create facial detector. For learning we are using Microsoft CNTK. Interesting what would the results be, because we have experience in simple machine learning algorithms implementation and CNTK shows us great results.
So now we are preparing image data and configuring neural network for training.

2. Web-application
Nobody in our team have any experience with web-development, so till today mostly we're working on web-application and in next few days I hope to share link. For your information for web application we are using ASP.NET MVC 5 + Angular 2, I hope we would done it in time.

3. Launching website

Our team is open to any ideas that could help us, especially with live tracking. We will be glad to get any advices.

Startup Adventures : #Intro

Unknown     6/14/2016     management, startup, success     No comments

It took me more than six month to continue post information on this blog. But here I'm and as you know from my previous posts I'm beginner at launching startups and creating own company.
As for everyone well known launching startup is not easy process, sometimes it is really hard, especially when you are not a Richard Hendricks from Pied Piper, who lives at Silicon Valley where everyone is tend to be founder of billion company. And still even if you have good support, experience and luck the way to build successful startup is still challenging and full of adventures.
So from today I'm starting to share with you my startup adventures.

Tips #0: Learn from startup failures

Unknown     10/13/2015     experience, idea, startup, team     No comments

You have your own idea, that make easier life thousands of people? You have a friends who are infected with your entuthiasm and they have great motivation? You've read my first steps in startup and want to know more? You know the answers on first three common questions when launching startup from here? Great, the following information will help you to avoid other common mistakes.
From the developer point of view I can tell you with a great confidence that having only developers in your team is not great idea. First my team included one person who created software and one person who created hardware. No one promote us, no one knew about our product and no one couldn't buy it. It is more like you implementing your idea on Mars for only your purposes.

Intro #0

 Unknown     10/09/2015     No comments

How to make first steps to create your dream project

As I've mentioned before after 2 years of game development I made a decision to move on and try to run my own startup. What problems you face when you run into such adventure?

- How much time I need to launch first working model or minimum viable product (MVP)?
- Can I handle all processes by myself?
- Is some great idea enough to get investments?

My answers that day and now are so different and I explain you it now:

Imagine that you have an idea and plan how to implement this in MVP. How much time it would takes? Probably you think it would takes from 3 to 6 month. Now double this period. Yes, you have to be ready spend next year without any vacations and work more than 8 hours per day.

Vamonos!

Unknown     10/08/2015     experience, tips     No comments

I want to start this my first blog with a little story about the main purpose of creation this source for everycoder.

As already known you can find almost all answers on every question about any programming issue. Websites such as quora, stackoverflow, mdsn, different communities are so helpful in many cases when your brain is overheating. I'm not even want to compete with them. Just want to share with my own thoughts and researches.

Short intro to my experience in coding. I was a student in Computer Science Department and worked a lot with neural networks (mostly spiking|pulsed). It was something new for me and very interesting. One of my life principle was built based on neural network's advantage:
